EuraAudit International 27th Annual Conference London 2017

ABG are the UK representatives of EuraAudit International.

The 27th annual conference was held in Greenwich.

Most guests arrived in Greenwich on Friday 27 October and many stayed on until Saturday 4 November. In total ABG welcomed 108 attendees from various European countries as well as Indonesia, China, New York, California, Miami, India, Lebanon, Thailand, India and Brazil.

The weekend prior to the conference consisted of tours of various London landmarks including a Thames cruise and gala dinner with the main conference itself taking place on 30 - 31 October. Numerous tours and meals were also arranged for the accompanying guests and families of the conference delegates.

The Annual Conference itself consisted of a series of talks on Monday 30 October and 31 October. The guest speakers on 30 October included Neil Parker a Chief Economist from NatWest Markets, Colin Stanbridge the Chief Executive of the London Chamber of Commerce, Fiona Wilkinson the Vice President (soon to be President) of the ICAEW and Bob Doyle & Ted Edwards from London & Partners. After lunch Kay Merryman, ABG’s Marketing Manager, spoke to the audience about the business benefits of social media and digital marketing and Kay was followed by Mark Rubinson who focused on the use of more traditional business development methods to attract new business.

The high point for many was the Monday night Black Tie Gala Dinner. The group were led through the Greenwich University grounds by bagpipes before arriving at the Trafalgar Tavern, on the bank of the River Thames. The group were welcomed and entertained for the evening by a Frank Sinatra tribute act.

The 28th EuraAudit Annual Conference will be held in Luxembourg from 26 - 30 October 2018.
